On two hills, interrupted in ancient times by a riverbed, rises Alberobello.

On the eastern hill we have the new city, with modern architectural features; on the other summit that's hading west, the Trulli line up, in an urban area divided into two districts: Monti and Aia Piccola, both national monuments that have been recognized by the UNESCO World Heritage Site starting from December 1996.
